  1. To add to the above: some jobs require applications. You can find details on them here in the forums, or in the jobs channel in the Discord. EMS jobs (CFA, AV, and VicPol) open recruitment when they have classes available and those are usually posted as announcements in the Discord.

  2. As Scuba said, you need to put in a ticket to play as an animal.

A few things to keep in mind:

    - The animal must take up its own character slot. You aren't your usual John Smith warping into animal form when you feel like it. That animal (be it a monkey, cat, etc) is the character.

    - You must play the animal wholly accurately. No using a phone, no driving a car, no talking, no sign language. Yes, this can limit interactions and involvement quite a bit.

If you think you're up for it, sure, toss in a ticket outlining your plans and staff will get back to you (eventually; we have a lot of tickets).

  3. The primary reason I am opposed to this is that most people do go to Slow Life and GMG when they're open for mods.

The reason people will continue to go to LSC is to do visual customizing. While I know GMG and Slow Life can do that (change colors, wheels, etc.), it takes time. I don't want to hold them up from other customers by sitting there for half an hour going no, no, no, wait go back, ok let's try it with this pearl, ok nah start over...

And I am sure I'm not the only one.

While a case might be made to disable the upgrades menu in LSC (at least during operational hours for Slow Life and GMG), it'd be more dev work than it's likely worth. Slow Life and GMG don't have a coded 'open' or 'close' function. The ads you see are posted by employees. So a whole on/off-duty function would have to be added in and a function to disable LSC. This goes for whether it's disabled overall or just partially.

  4. Being able to lock peoples' cars when their heads pop is something I appreciate being able to do. I like seeing it done within the communities around job sites (and everyone likes to be able to do it for their friends, of course).

However, if it's being abused at the gold lot: that is an issue. And I would absolutely love if people who witness it would clip it, grab /ids, and send in tickets.

I do think local cars need to be exempt from /lo & /lu. The amount of powergaming that is done with this is utterly ridiculous. The only time I see it being valid is when you've already broken the window (because then you can RP reaching in to lock/unlock the car, so long as you're right next to it), but most of the time it's done the person is at a distance from the car using some magical keyfob.

yes and one on the highway that does not show up on the map

It is possible this was a mobile speed camera that was placed and the vehicular indicator was removed.

If the mobile speed camera vehicle is blown up or removed, the speed camera remains due to how the code works. This can't be changed at this time. (So, pro tip: stop blowing up the mobile speed cameras.)

  6. So there's a couple issues with this in regards to lawyers:

    - While there is the lawyer job role, registered lawyers are not required to be on that role. And asking them to sit on that role and eschew other jobs while waiting for a possible call would be unfair to them (maybe they want to deliver pizzas for a while). To display them regardless would take another reworking of the scoreboard.

    - Lawyers aren't required to be on duty or to take cases. They work on their own schedule and pick who they work for. Just like IRL if you go around calling lawyers, you can't guarantee one is going to be available for you.

I feel like the 2nd point is most important and I'm going to make this call out for everyone (not just OP):

Every job on BBRP is done for the enjoyment of the person doing it. Yes, some roles have minimum hours, but overall no one is required to engage with you. I've seen this a lot lately (anger at lawyers not taking cases, even/especially ones doomed to fail; people angry at RACV/TBT for refusing them service even if they're blacklisted; people pissed off GMG isn't open right when they want). At the end of the day, this is a game. No other player is here to serve you. They do it because they enjoy it and want to have fun.

Now, back to the lawyer aspect: my recommendation would be to use the list of lawyers (here in Court Details or in F3 in city) to find one available in your timezone and get them on retainer. That'd be more ongoing RP and a greater guarantee of having them available when you need them.

but we have a new MC, we changed names and stuff.
I dont see why u cant be in CIRT and have a MC on another Slot. its assuming i would be metagaming and powergaming which i dont do and never will do. as i have never been banned on any server and was an administrator on another that i left,
but all is good and i only play BBRP as a cop now

    It goes further than that.

You cannot run an organization or business (be the #1) and be a cop (period, not just CIRT) at the same time. The reason for this is slots. There's limited leadership opportunities in org/business and there's limited police slots. CIRT has other rules in this regard, yes, but even if they were not in place you would be unable to run an organization and be an officer at the same time.

  8. Please note that organizations are criminal organizations. Lawyers aligned with the OLD and OPP are expected to keep clean (at least relatively) records.

As Moe has said, you may prefer to look at applying for a business (though do note any business or organization requires a person who is whitelisted to run it).

  9. I believe the casino is currently owned and under renovations.

When an existing business (such as the casino, or when Franky's changed hands) goes up for sale, it is put up for auction to whitelisted members of the community who must put forth their bids and business plans.

I will sometimes attend Cons and run games, yes. Not often. It's a once every few years thing for me.

Officer Brian "BT" Taylor -  The other night (Night of Mac Daddy and Natashas wedding I believe) I was doing CFA and had been called out to a couple of EMR and MVA events. 2 times in the same night involved Mr. Taylor his dunken ramblings were bloody funny and at times I was stugling to keep it together.

You know what, I'm gonna follow up on this one. I love BT. His chaotic energy is beautiful. His use of emotes is *top fucking notch*.
BT, if Jeshin ever falls in the line of duty, gimme a call? 😉

  13. I'll note that we lawyers do already get a ton of cases. It's part of the reason that the idea of people being able to just auto-text/call us makes me cringe. Not everyone has my number and yet I get about 4-5 calls every day.

There are only a handful of lawyers in the city. There are hundreds of crims.

Lawyer RP is awesome for crims. They get to just stand there while someone else does all the work for them.

For the lawyers, it is often grueling- especially if the criminal is dumb and makes things worse (pro-tip: don't admit to more crimes while your lawyer is trying to help you). If it is a case that goes to court, it involves a *lot* of out-of-city paperwork, liaising with other departments, and scheduling between parties.

There have been a lot of times I have considered quitting the OLD and it's not because of lack of work. It's because there's so much of it and people insist on wanting my time even more while also trying to get out of paying for it. (This is the other thing: the lawyer roles in city do not make a lot of money. Trainee lawyer starts at 300.)

If you want legal RP, start making it worth our time. Be more engaging. Pay for it. Consider interacting with lawyers outside of 'I wanna waste this cop's time' (<- literally I get these calls and guess what, that means you're wasting my time, too).

Please DO NOT visit Melbourne Intl Main Airport for drag racing. There are three big airports and two of them are drag strips so no reason to use the one that is used as an active airport. It's a real nuisance for pilots and Melbourne Adventure staff altogether so please just go up to Zancudo or ask TBT. 🙂

No need to even ask TBT. The Sandy strip is open for use for people wanting to test out their vehicles.

  15. A mic is absolutely required. The only exceptions that I am aware of have been for those who have limitations (as in physical/health) IRL. Simply not owning one at current time isn't an excuse, I'm afraid. You can get a basic mic for pretty cheap these days.

Chevrolet Silverado 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2018 Single Cab - GTA5-Mods.com (gta5-mods.com) This would stop the dodge ram from being an overpopulated vehicle for oil/fishing/mining etc and bring more variety and competition if the vehicle was to have the same amount of storage space.

Personally, I am 100% for more luxury SUVs. I love 'em.

But I wanted to note, re: the Silverado. There are actually a number of trucks people would love to use for those jobs (my Nissan Titan comes to mind), but don't due to the trunk space. I believe a reworking/balancing of the space in vehicles is due, so hopefully once it's done (it's a pretty big undertaking) you'll see more variety in work vehicles.
