    Hi Justin,

    we has had to limit gangs and orgs because they were beginning to take over very quickly and making our community more a cops and robbers server which was not what we wanted to have here. We will continue to have this limit in place and encourgage those wanting to be in a gang to join one of our already established, at this time we have 3 bike gangs, 3 orgs, and 2 families. these will have to be found out in game and wintin role play. that being said we do not turn away applications being sent to us and are more inclined to accept and application that is completely different from what we already have here.

    A lot of members tend to ignore our "please apply first" rule and will run around tearing up the place shooting everyone before they have been approved, and we tend to get a lot of complaints about their group or these particular people before they have even began, which is more the reason they are declined and asked to spend more time on the server before they reapply.

    we are well aware of our player base and we are always inundated with long lists of what people need or require for their group which tends to be a huge amount and our development team arent willing to put the extensive time and effort into these UNTIL they have been established for a period of time without complaints.

    many of these gangs tend to focus all of their time and rp on hunting cops with no real reason to do so other than they are are a gang so they hate cops or back to back bank robberies that always go the same way..... this makes for pretty poor and     repetitive role play and police will tend to ignore it and not want to partake in it as do our community.

    Housekeeping: Rule Refresher

    Fear Rp- How does it play in hand with our new life rule? what does it actually mean apart from fearing for you life, what kind of impact can it have on a role play when people don't fear rp

    Gun Crime- cutting back the shoot to kill role plays, how to seek revenge without using guns all the time, allow the chance for reaction and extension.

    Police Traffic zones- Respecting the role play in the area, not interfering with the role play. What happens if you drive through. How this can ruin it for all.

    FailRp- What happens when you add failrp to your role play? How can ruin and affect any role play? How can we change the need to win role play?

    Changes to traffic lights- Traffic lights will now be treated as a stop sign, meaning you can pull up...stop (minimum 5 seconds) and then continue on your way without facing any charges for running a red light.


    What’s new:

    Comedy club- Open for business and event hire, please see jade to book

    Paleto Bay- Also known as Bendigo now has its own hospital

    Supporter stores- a lot of questions have come to us about new icons on the map these are for those that supporter stores from some of our staff

     

    Job opportunities- There are a few departments that are currently inactive and their managers aren’t meeting policy expectations to keep their company running. Because of this the government is looking into a resolution for this by enforcing the same policy guidelines across the board for every department.  For this will be a minimum of 5 hours per week requirement that every staff member must meet. Each department must provide a business plan and on duty logs to Izzy or Jade for review. Many of these roles are Whitelisted only roles to ensure staff follow all community guidelines to avoid people exploiting their role. Communication will be given before change of leadership. Jade can provide each department with a clock on clock off spreadsheet document.

    Introducing the updates for Business owners and Organisations- Strick new guidelines for business in their operation. Managers will be inforced to be seen working with their staff 3 different days of the week for at least 2 hour each meaning 6 hours total. Managers will have to provide proof in a clock in sheet that their staff are actively doing the job (jade happy to help with creating a sheet).

    New guidelines and policies for criminal organisations and MCs. behaviours, attitudes, gun, And member limits

    All requests must go through the orgs discord and what is stated in there is final. Complaints or bugging admins or devs with DMs will have you facing removal.

    Recruitment Team Changes-

    Stricter guidelines are now in place before we have someone join our team to avoid tag collectors. We now are aiming for a 7 day turn over for your application (this will exclude those that have already applied, please know we are working hard to get these finished and an email will be sent to you letting you know if you have been approved or declined. Please refrain from Messaging staff or making tickets regarding your application. Whitelist removal warning


    Re introducing the Coordination Team- The coordination team will assist those struggling to create role plays or those that seem to be breaking community guidelines. The team aims to prevent new members being excluded from the server and want to hopefully assist members in being more creative. Those wanting to be able to be apart of the team will need to be whitelisted and have a clear role play history.


    Introducing a new impound policy- The City will now see more player owned vehicles left in the middle of the road being impounded for 24hrs with an additional fee to release. We encourage people to seek assistance from a tow truck or ask a friend to help you with buying a repair kit. Impound periods will vary depending on your prior impound history.


    Thinking outside of the box: Strengthening your role play


        The object of the game- Our city is NOT about winning!

     We want people to stop coming in with the need to win attitude, this is what seems to be the focus point of rps of late and we need to change this view.

    The first step is we want people to step into a role play to create their story within our city with a few basic things in mind,

    1.     How did I find this city?
    2.     What will my goals be here?
    3.     What kind of lifestyle do I want to engage in?

    The kind of lifestyle that you begin in the city can have quite an impact on many things like a job, if you start off as a criminal but change and want to become a police officer, Ambo or Firey it will be a lot harder due to your criminal history.  These should be the base of who you are within the city.


    How to keep your role play flowing and what you can do if something goes wrong?-

    if a role play does not work out how you have planned or pictured we encourage you to finish the role play and then contact the members on the discord to have a respectful chat

    1.     What went wrong?
    2.     What could you change for next time?
    3.     What you didn't understand or were confused about?
    4.     If you have attempted this and can’t seem to come to a resolution please contact a government official to assist.

    Extending from how we can keep our role play flowing-

    resolving issues that arise in role play within your own role play for example when someone clips you with their vehicle this is classed a hit and run, you will need to message, phone or visit the local police station to hand over as much information as you can.

    Why do we encourage this?- instead of jumping into report to admins we ask you to stop assuming its failr rp for the following reasons

    Maybe this person is intoxicated and is actually trying to create this within their role play, Big mode and onesync can sometimes cause different vision for everyone.

    Other members role play stories- your part within their story

    Allowing others to include you within their rp

    Don't shut down someone that is trying to create their story, we encourage you to engage and partake

    Recruitment- New team new process, although this can prolong the whitelisting process we want to ensure those that do become trusted playhers know the rules and how to implement them with in their role play

     

    Role play classes- starting up end of school holidays, these will be broken down into different departments and will cover how to begin, how to build and how to think outside of the box when planning role plays

    Emergency services numbers for role play- a new rule is now in place that there MUST be 4 or more of each department on to engage in mass rps

     

    School holiday disciplinary action- cracking down on failrp, those here not to role play but to troll, abuse of community assistance features like fixmepls will now be followed up with a tempory 24hr exclusion

     

    New life rule- what does this mean? it means that if you are knocked unconcious during a rp and there are no ambos on you can NOT come back to seek revenge, you are out of the rp and need to move on as if it never existed. IF you are picked up by ambos you CAN decide how you interact but you MUST continue your rp as per your injuries. PLAY OUT YOUR INJURY!! for example if you are shot in your upper body you can NOT rp that youve kicked your toe.

     

    How to resolve fail rp- first step is we want you to stay in character and try to adjust it! for example if someone hits you (for no reason) thats assalt, phone the police and report it, if someone hits your car (for no reason) thats a hit and run phone the police and report it.

    Community support- Introducing our new Centrelink Support services team to assist in directing new players to our discord to help new players get started on our server (please see  Quinn Bella [AngelsDeath] if you have any questions) 

     

    Business’s- closure of business applications, the government will be working on the current scripts in the city already and will announce new businesses after they are implemented- this includes all the features and to cut down on devs being overwhelmed with requests in DMs
    We have convenience stores that are set to launch soon. Dev’s will no longer be taking personal business requests.



    Role play assistance classes -  beginning next month- stay tuned for the announcements and dates- we will need to limit these classes so bookings are essential

     

    Building role play for our other departments-  Ambulance and CFA need some more role plays, think about creating some basic small rps for them to interact with outside their usual responses to shoots and car accidents

    Community support- putting together a group to help new players, run town meetings, arrange community events- please DM izzy if interested.

     

    Business’s- government ownership, introducing ownership/lease policy

    With very few exceptions we are going to be aiming to have a few businesses in each sector of industry. I.e Grease monkey garage and Elite Autosports, or the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria and Tru Blue towing. This will also be expanded to our bars and clubs, security companies and any other sector of business we open. Competition drives innovation after all.

     

    On this note we will no longer be doing the same kind of business applications, rather the server will have a number of businesses licenses open at any one time in an industry sector. We will announce a closed auction for each license and accept applications to join each auction, these applications will only be considered if you are currently a white listed civilian.

     

    With this, there have been some change to how players can run businesses. From this point on, all businesses are no longer owned by any players, merely you are appointed a franchisee for the business and run the daily operations of the business, hiring, keeping stock up ect ect.

     

    If a franchisee does anything to compromise the integrity of the franchise they will have their license revoked and the business will go back to auction.

    If a franchisee is not seen on the premises of their business and working with their employees while it is open for 3 days in a row then their license will be revoked.

    If a business fails to be open for 48 hours, or fails to be open for business for an average of 28 hours a week. Then the license will be revoked.

    If a business fails to make a license payment then the license will be revoked. (Under review his may become a tax instead depending on functionality)

    All business owners have been refunded the money they paid to own the business and have been charged their initial licensing fee, (incidentally this is the exact same amount for both transactions).

    Follow up Topics from last meeting-

     

    -Forum calendar- reminder to use our forums and to check out the calendar for new upcoming events,

    -In character- Whatever happens in character NEEDS to stay in character, should you have an issue it is NOT to be discussed with anyone but the person involved and it is NOT to be complained about on stream, parties must take it to a private DM- admin are happy to mediate this if needed.

    -Gun crime- from town meeting 3. Let's think about reducing it, way too many police and civs are being shot at for very little reason behind the role play. Shooting should be kept to a bare minimum.

    Stream bullying-

    Streamers should keep their stream positive and free from toxic behaviour. Should you have an issue with someone or with bluebird is it NOT to be done while on your stream you must either pause or send your stream or wait until the end to address it personally with said person, should this happen temp bans are going to start being issued.

    When viewing streams - You are simply viewing. Hold your personal opinions to yourself.  If you have an issue and the streamer themselves don’t. You should not take it personally and start messaging people involved. Most of the time, you won’t know the story behind it. Simply just enjoy it. 

     

    -Reporting in discord- stop bringing role play out of character to make it an admin issue. Many of your complaints can be resolved in game and in role play, either by contacting the police or a lawyer. 

    -Reports in game- please stop assuming Failrp! This may be someone trying to create a role play story- if the person is running you over, constantly killing THEN you can report it. The level of reports that come through a lot of them CAN be resolved within your role play. 

    -If you get carried, are you allowed to alpha ambo as you are getting carried?

    -If you get carried to the hospital by another player to respawn, will you remember what happened or will the NewLife-rule still apply?

     

     

    Izzy and ducks wedding- willson’s had perms they had permission to have these perms for the occasion, willsons are having a new structure. Clarification on the /carry function.

     

    Answers to the above-

    No, just like any other scene you can not alpha transport in an RP where ambos are on the way or where your injuries are part of the roleplay. /carry has no effect on this. 

    This is more than just an opinion but no, a regular player can carry you there but they do not have the ability to revive you like an ambo does. You still suffer some memory loss from your wounds due to the lack of professional (paramedic) care.

    Introducing a new policy for body cams Body cam footage is allowed to be sent however- its MUST be your own footage! When time is practical it is mandatory by law that a person MUST inform the other person that they are being recorded without doing so lawsuits can occur.

    TOPIC FOLLOW UP FROM LAST MEETING:

    -Separating Characters (If a character is upset in game, they are upset at your character not yourself)

    -VDM/RDM - Fear RP reminder - what this means, where to find it in the community rules

    -Improving roleplay and extending roleplay- how to begin your story

    -Shooting - Kill RP has dropped. Extending RP 




    TOPICS DISCUSSED:

    -Patience! - Waiting for services such as Emergency, RACV, True Blue (not all about you). 

     

    -Admin/Mod reports - Two sides to every story. Think about what you are reporting

     

    -Lodge tickets for ban appeals, support etc. Don’t privately message Admins/Mods. 

     

    -More descriptions into text messages/calls when requesting assistance (Police, Ambulance, Firies, RACV, True Blue Towing, Taxi etc) 

     

    -Server event charges - Sponsors - Paying fees to enter events such as races

     

    -Sheriff opened up - chasing after outstanding fines! 

     

    -Forum calendar - Don’t add anything yourself. Contact Meow
