John Chlong Brawling Charge Appeal

Just need to argue my brawling charge given the circumstances -

3x hostages (1 was VicPol) 

State of duress and fight or flight

matter of self defence

the incident occurred on the 9th of Jan 2022 during a hostage situation, I saw an opportunity to defend against the assailant and tried my hardest and was shot to death. VicPol let him off on all charges and gave me a brawling charge instead. Given the circumstances and my knowledge of the assailants name I’d like to argue that charge in my favour.
