Being fairly new to the city itself, I have only taken on work as a Taxi Driver, although when I first arrived I did assist Bahama Mamas with their stock runs and stocktaking.

 

Character Backstory (minimum 60 words):

As you may or may not guess, I am not originally of Melbourne itself but rather I have come here seeking a new and fresh start. My old life is not one I particularly enjoy getting into, but I will state that it has made me the social butterfly that I am to this day. I will say that I have had previous employment that involved me using a wider set of skills and required me to be quite adaptable, though that was my old life and something that is not very necessary in this application process. I like being in a position where I can meet new people and be helpful, but I will state that I am not the most law following person you will meet, I don't typically report things unless its a threat to myself. I have brushed with the law before, but never brought a lot of unneeded attention on to myself.

I am an only child, my parents passed away some time ago in a car accident while picking me up from school. Since then I have needed to be somewhat resourceful and adaptable, I made a lot of mistakes but also learned a lot of lessons which have made me a competent and smart woman, in my own opinion that is.

 

Past crimes commited/bans:

The only past crimes I have been charged with are traffic related, you know, speeding and reckless driving. Never been charged for things like police pursuits however and I've never had any serious interactions with the law.

 

Skills you can bring to GMG:

I am a quick learner and absorb information as I am given it, when learning a new trade I will always read everything I can on it in order to take on as much knowledge as possible before I even consider trying my hand at it. I have previous experience in using the external catalogues that are used within the city and am very dedicated to whatever trade I commit myself to. Which in this case, would be Grease Monkey Garage.

 

What you believe our values represent:

I believe your values of respect, integrity, loyalty and commitment are fairly self explanatory. As a company, you want your employees to be able to show the utmost respect not only to their colleagues but every single customer who arrives, no matter how much they may test your patience. You also want employees with good morals and a steadfast resolve, who can commit time and dedication into the business.

 

The time you are able to commit to GMG:

Over the past month I have sunk over 150 hours being in the city itself, which means I can easily commit many hours into keeping the garage open even when others may not be able to. I think as a starting average I could put some 4 hours a day in, potentially more if I am having a good day, which I normally am.

 

What sets you apart from other applicants? (minimum 30 words)

Personally, I believe that I can provide another active and dedicated member to your workforce, someone who can absorb the information they need to learn. Who will be honest and open about any mistakes or any in-house purchases. If I were to get the job and complete the training phase, I could definitely keep the garage open for a good deal longer than it already is. Not to mention, I can use my social skills to encourage customers to not only be willing to spend their money at GMG, but most importantly, come back in the future.
